Many people may be wondering about the website 1saleaday.com, a web site that displays several deals for the duration of 24 hours. The problem is that most reviewers of the web site have had a bad experience with 1saleaday.com, and now bid their warning to others. The common complaints included low-grade products, lost shipping orders, and products that are dead on arrival (DOA). I decided to take the risk using paypal to ensure my credit card data was not compromised. I purchased two 6' HDMI cables. After about 2 weeks, the cables arrived and upon inspection, I found them to be a lower-quality product. The total cost for the cables was $5.99 including shipping.
Looking closer at the situation, it only makes sense I got what I got. A company like 1saleaday.com is still out to make a profit. To do this they have to offer low-quality merchandise (or almost unwanted merchandise) to continue to make that profit. They are in the business of making money, but it appears they don't have the resources to handle customer complaints very well. For a company like this, loosing repeat business is a very bad move for these revenue seekers.
My caution to those who are interested in what 1saleaday.com has, you honestly do get what you pay for AND you most likely wont ever get something for nothing.
I bought a kodak flexable tripod for $5.99 and I recieved the idem in a week and its very good quality.BUT I also bought a 4GB memory card and its been two weeks and no card.I was getting ready two see about tracking it when I found this sight.
ReplyDeleteDO NOT buy from this company. They are a SCAM. I purchased a router from them in March, I made a mistake and accidently bought 2 but I only wanted one. As soon as I submitted my order I realized I had bought 2. I looked for a phone # to call but there wasn't one, so I emailed them within minutes after ordering explaining what happened. They answer their email 1-3 days, well it took 3 days for them to answer ONLY after I recieved the notification my order was shipped. They said just refuse it and I'll get a refund. Well it was shipped UPS and the day it was suppose to be delivered they change it to USPS (never had that happen before) anyway I'm looking for UPS and USPS ended up delivering it to my mailbox which is down the street from where I live. So I take it to the post office and wrote REFUSED on it as instructed, it's been 9 weeks and many emails later and have not recieved anything. Yes they answer my emails with "Oh just wait another week" so I ended up calling my bank and having them go after 1saleaday. Another odd thing, don't know if it's related but it is worth mentioning after reading other complaints from customers about this company is my card that I used to purchase this order was compromised 2 days after the purchase my bank had to cancel that card and give me another. I learned my lesson and will stick with Amazon
ReplyDeleteYou made the mistake - like the review says, they don't specialize in quality - it's mostly refurb and overstock stuff. There is a lot of lead for the little bit of gold you find, but I have made several purchases from them and been happy - but I did my research, knew what I was getting into, and didn't get mad when I asked them to step outside their business model to accommodate my error.

DeleteI have ordered two items and got a congrats this is your first order email for both. Received a shipping number which does not work and e-mailed the company. I received a generated response that they would respond within 3 business days and I got that next email on a Sunday (day they aren't even open). I hesitate to say I think I got scammed. And NOT planning to purchase from them again. Great concept but poor execution.

DeleteI have purchased several items from 1saleaday.com and I couldn't be happier. If I received anything that did not work or had been damaged, I contact customer service by email and within three days they respond. They never question or ask for the item to be returned, but they refund my money immediately. I have made some very big purchases with them and their sister companies, Bensoutlet and Shadora and am not disappointed. It is like this, don't buy a ring that says 1 ct diamond for $1.00 from Japan and expect it to be worth $20,000.00. All of these companies describe their products with great detail. They don't force you to purchase from them. You can go to Walmart and purchase something and get it home and it doesn't work, all businesses have their share of lemons. One purchase that does not go your way does not make this business a scam!

We as human beings are never satisfied, we complained and wine about everything..I agree this site sell cheap stuff from a warehouse in Florida but if we want to be cheap this is what sometimes happen.

ReplyDeleteAt first, they did not put my apt# on the shipping label. UPS has to ship it back to the shipper. I contacted 1saleaday to resolve this via emails (there is no working phone# I can call to reach them). The reply I got was something like 'after we receive the returned item, we will ship it back to your correct address shortly'. What made me very annoyed is that they kept me waiting for at least one more week for the returning shipment instead of shipping me a new one. Anyway, I had to wait for the arrival of the returned item to isaleaday before it is shipped back to me.
So far, it has been more than a month and I received nothing from 1saleaday. Every time I contact them, I always get the same answer'Once we received the returned item, it will be shipped back to you shortly'.I think it is the time to ask my bank to handle this for me.
Anyone who thinks you are buying something you need for a really good price from this website, BE CAUTIOUS!!
Check you credit card for some fraudulent activities..........happened with me on two different credit cards after the purchase from them................Beware!

ReplyDeleteTheir customer service is the worst, they only repond every other day. I wanted to cancel this order 6 hours after I placed it, it took them two days to respond, and said they'll "try". They aid to refuse the pkg when it arrived.
Well guess what, it came today out of nowhere - without ANY shipment notification - and dropped at the door, so it was IMPOSSIBLE to refuse the pkg.
Furthermore - its a piece of junk thats damaged, doesnt assemble, and its completely dinged up. Its made of soft imperfect wood that makes IKEA look like a Mercedes.
1SaleADay is understaffed - slow - unprofessional - condescending - and run by a greedy crook who doesn't train his employees.

ReplyDeleteI do NOT like this company and won't be ordering from them again. They don't deliver ordered items within their self-specified time frame (7-10 working days). I ordered a hard drive which shipped 15 days after order receipt and a tablet which is now on day 14. Clearly, they are selling merchandise they don't have. Also, when I sent a complaint email in, got an auto response that said they'd get back to em in 1 - 3 working days. Three days later got an email with no ETA. The customer service is bad and they do business at the speed of molasses. They have an ebay store and I wonder if the customer service is any better there.

ReplyDeleteI won't say they're a scam, but don't expect service. I bought a refurb toshiba tablet, that had half the buttons defective. I contacted them for an exchange/return, and was told to contact the manufacturer, despite their published return policy.

ReplyDeleteThis is one of the worst website i have ever seen, i ordered items on 26th October hoping they will be delivered by 10th November, they have not even shipped and customer support is pathetic and one of the worst i have ever seen. They dont even respond and even if they respond after 3 days they dont have any clue of what is going on with orders, also they dont even have a phone number to talk to anyone. No customer focus and all scam and fraud. I am planning to complaint to BBB on this website. Surprised, they cant even cancel the orders.
ReplyDeleteThis company is AWFUL! Poor quality products take forever to arrive... and horrible customer service. Beware... their jewelry is of extremely poor quality. I've ordered a number of pieces, and they have arrived dull, cheap-looking, and the "gold plated" and "sterling silver plated" pieces were tarnished. Don't be fooled by their beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI am a consumer who got really excited when I discovered their site, and ordered many things over a 1 month period. Wasted a lot of money on products that are unusable. Terrible customer service. Wish I had researched the company first. Will not spend another dime with them.
I tried sticking it out, but: after immediately cancelling two orders and they mailed them anyway; plus the fact that they answers emails days later; compounded by phone calls to them that always get cut-off--if you can wait 20-40 minutes to be answered, I called it good riddance to bad rubbish!

they sell knockoffs..this is a chinese knockoff company, and don't buy the competitor crap..legit companies have phones numbers to call and do returns..you might get stuff you ordered, but its chinese crap so no return address..you've been warned

ReplyDeleteBUT, the absolute kick in the pants was the Microsoft Office 2010 Professional (not advertertised on site as Professional-Plus, an MSDN Subscription ONLY piece of software) that KILLED the ability for Microsoft to update ANY MS-related software including WIN7!!! On contacting Microsoft directly, they say it is an ILLEGAL copy of Office (in regards to resale to consumers) and was only for use by those with an active MSDN License (starts at $600/year in case you're interested). At $99, it was a deal, but, now it's unusable.
I think this is the proverbial icing on the cake: at odds of 50-50 in getting even a workable product from them, I am sticking with Woot.com and Amazon from now on: at least they give great customer service and you can speak to live operators, not having to wait 3 days for an email!!!
I purchased a refurbished Ipad 2 Zagg Logitech Keyboard for $19.99, shipping included. Thats a great deal for product which sells for at least $50 new. However, upon arrival, the item did not work, and I was asked to return it so that 1 Sale A Day could confirm that it was defective. Upon its return, they agreed that it was defective. They had no replacement unit, and I was out $9 for return shipping as they dont offer return shipping, even on defective merchandise. The outcome - I am out $9 to these guys for their defective product. They declined to cover return shipping on a product that they confirmed was defective and were unable to replace. Bottom Line - poor customer service and defective merchandise.
ReplyDeleteWe have purchased a number of times and while there have been a few issues, damaged shipments, doa items or issues with multi-quantity purchases, by and large we have found them to be a legitimate company. Our latest purchase was a Vizio Sound Bar and IT IS AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteI purchased a MID mini tablet from them for around $50.00. Did it with the idea in mind that it had to be "too good to be true." It was. Product had a glass screen that cracked the first time I tapped on it (no...really!) The only upside was that I called the company (got a voice mail and never spoke to a human). Demanded a refund instead of the replacement policy the company offers. To my surprise the refund showed up back in my debit card account rather quickly. Even so, I'd never buy from them again. I suspect it's sort of like an online flea market...buyer beware.

I had an item get returned to them twice because I accidentally used an old address that was in paypal (now deleted, my fault) and they just refunded me my money. You definitely get what you pay for so be careful what you order. But so far I have been satisfied with everything I've ordered from them. Just received a cute charm necklace from them the other day. Cheap, probably better for a young girl than an adult. But looks like my dog so it's super cute.
ReplyDeleteBTW: to add to my other comment: Shipping can be slow. But if you're not in a hurry to receive the item it's no big deal. I sometimes have waited for 3-4 weeks for an item. Other times it shows up quickly. I really have had NO issues at all with this company. The one problem I had the refunded my money immediately. I use paypal, not a credit card, just to be safe...
ReplyDeleteI never even heard of this company until after noticing a discrepancy on my debit for 2 charges of 204.98 each made within 42 seconds of each other. After multiple emails, still nothing beyond what's your order number and go into your acct. to find order number!!!! I have repeatedly told them I have NO acct., hence no order number.....grrrrr I called my bank. I had enough bull for one week. How can they do this? Unbelievable. My next letter and calls are to online fraud division and BBB.

1SaleADay sucks! It's only getting worse. It takes weeks for them to send any item you order, they are horrible with their e-mail support, and you have to Google to find any kind of phone number. And even if you reach someone, they say to send an e-mail. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back after a month. The savings are not worth the hassle! They think just because they are an 'e-seller', they can flip you the middle finger and send your items when they find it convenient. Or, in my case, not ship the item at all. It's always been slow, but now it's unacceptable! The worst seller on eBay will ship your item faster than these people! Avoid! Spend your money elsewhere. These people clearly don't care about you, and the time the items get shipped. And their customer service is clearly the worst I have encountered in years.

ReplyDeleteIt just has very bad customer service and very poor execution from their delivery/storage areas, I've ordered from them things that meets the specs they describe and at a GREAT PRICE.
If you're willing to wait a while for delivery and for eventual refund this is a good place to buy, I would advise to use Paypal because you shouldn't trust them with your credit card and personal info mainly because of bad management.
About the HDMI cables this article describes, its obvious in the pictures they're low quality, this is just a buyer's common sense, you can get very good quality and cheap HDMI cables from amazonbasics

ReplyDeleteOrder IP camera indicated on confirmation shipping would be 9/3/13. Generated UPS shipping label on 9/12/13 and UPS didn't receive it until 9/16/13. Customer service is a joke. They don't read the emails and respond the way they want to. If you don't care when you might get your order try it...
This company is ripoff city. I ordered swarovski crystal pens @ $18.90 each and was shipped a gold plated pen that is worth maybe $3.90. I have had a running battle with their customer service for five weeks. My order history said I had ordered swarovski crystal pens but 1saleaday said I had actually ordered gold plated pens with swarovsik crystals-bs alert. I should have ordered from amazon @ $28.00. Never more quote the raven, never more.
ReplyDeleteMy shipping address was loaded wrong with my old address from paypal. I contacted them by email immediately after I found it. After almost 3 weeks, they shipped it, still to the wrong address! There is not customer service on this website!
ReplyDeleteCancelled my order 20 days before Christmas when the order (Dre ur ear buds for $39.99) was placed on 11/7/13. Estimated shipping time 14 business days. On the 11/19 and 11/23 sent e-mails. Got response that items would ship on 3-5 business days. Kept checking site to see if had shipped and then on 12/5 noticed order was cancelled. I did get my money back which they refunded through Paypal , but so much for 2 of my Christmas gifts. Merry *&%$^ Christmas to you 1saleaday.com! You won't get my business and have been reported to the BBB.
